Tenant Inc., provider of the self-storage industry’s leading all-in-one technology platform, today announced a new integration with StorageTreasures, North America’s leading online storage auction marketplace. This integration bridges the gap between property management workflows and the traditional operational workflow required to prepare units for auction, enabling operators to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and create more consistent auction processes across their portfolios.
For years, operators have faced a fragmented lien-to-auction workflow. Unit photos, overlock tasks, notes, and unit documentation lived separately from the tools used to create auction listings. Teams relied on manual checklists and double entry and endured a time-consuming back-and-forth between systems—resulting in inconsistent listings, delayed auctions, and an unnecessary administrative burden.
The integration between Tenant Inc.’s Hummingbird Property Management Software (PMS) and StorageTreasures resolves this disconnect by establishing a direct connection between lien workflows, field documentation, and listing preparation. Hummingbird provides the auction-related unit details needed to initiate a listing in StorageTreasures, eliminating redundant steps while ensuring operators begin each auction cycle with accurate, organized information.
Mobile Manager—Tenant Inc.’s field-operations app—strengthens the connection by powering the on-site field tasks that lead into auction preparation. Teams can complete overlocks, capture photos, record notes, and document unit conditions for directly from their phones. Mobile Manager’s AI helps identify items within those photos and organizes them for operator review, giving teams a clearer picture of unit contents before they begin listing preparation in StorageTreasures.
“Our philosophy has always been to create open, operator-first tools that remove friction from storage workflows,” said Justin Paquin, Sr. Director of Product at Tenant Inc. “By connecting Hummingbird with StorageTreasures and enhancing it with Mobile Manager’s field execution, we’re giving operators a more consistent, reliable, and efficient auction process from start to finish.”
Early access customer Derrel’s Mini Storage expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming workflow improvements. Tosha Giuffrida, COO at Derrel’s Mini Storage, shared her perspective on the integration, saying:
“We're excited to implement this integration to automate our auction process. By syncing data directly from Hummingbird to StorageTreasures, we'll remove the need for manual double-entry entirely. This efficiency will help us reduce errors, streamline our workflows, and recover revenue faster.”
Key benefits of the Tenant Inc. and StorageTreasures integration include:
- Streamlined auction preparation: Connect lien workflows in Hummingbird directly to listing creation in StorageTreasures.
- More accurate auction listings: Use standardized photos, notes, and documentation captured through Mobile Manager.
- AI-enhanced itemization: Automatically identify and organize items within unit photos to support listing preparation.
- Operational consistency: Ensure all sites follow the same structured process from fieldwork to listing.
- Reduced administrative burden: Eliminate unnecessary double entry and fragmented workflows.
